2. Clinical Facilities:

The College of Nursing is attached to St. Martha’s Hospital  for its clinical facilities.  St. Martha’s Hospital is a 550 bedded Multi-specialty Hospital which has clinical facilities for General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Skin & VD., Radiology & Ultrasound, Anaesthesiology, Dental, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Endoscopy, Gastroenterology, Urology, Neurology, Nephrology with Dialysis Centre, Chest Clinic, Retina Clinic, Laparoscopic Surgery, Joint Replacement, Total Knee Replacement, GK Nailing, Spine Surgery, Lizarov, Arthoscopy, Sinoscopy, ENT Microsurgery, Phaco, Retinal Surgery, Laser including TTT Treatment, Colour Doppler, ECHO & Treadmill, CT Scan, Medical ICU, Coronary ICU, Neonatal ICU, Surgical ICU, Paediatric ICU, C-Arm, Physiotherapy, Prosthetic & Orthotic Centre, Blood Bank, Full Fledged Diagnostic Lab, OPD, Special Morning Clinic, evening clinic, Stroke Rehabilitation Centre and a Community Health centre for rural postings.

3. Infrastructure:
The College of Nursing is accommodated in a well designed cement concrete building which has a total floor area of 7,667 sq. mts. (82,500 sq. feet).  There are 9 spacious lecture halls with facilities like black-board, sound system, overhead projector, Laptop, LCD Projector and all necessary furniture.   There are 3 Seminar Rooms, a Demonstration Room, Laboratories for Nutrition, Nursing Arts and Fundamentals of Nursing, Maternity and Child Health, Community Health Nursing, Microbiology, Anatomy ,  Computers and Library .  All the laboratories are well  equipped.  There is an Auditorium which can accommodate about 400 persons, equipped with a stage, sound system, stage-lighting and necessary furniture.   There is suitable office accommodation for the Principal, Vice-Principal, the teaching staff and the clerical establishment.  For the use of committees, there is a Conference Room.   There is a large quadrangle, 12,857 sq. feet in area for out-door recreational activities like badminton, throw-ball and valleyball.  Facilities for indoor recreation are available and students can play games like carom and table-tennis.  There are also facilities for learning to play musical instruments such as the guitar, the key board, the piano and the drums.   There is an infirmary (sick room) with a staff nurse to look after sick nursing students.  A team of doctors from St. Martha’s Hospital is assigned to treat  them.   The College of Nursing has a Field Practice Area for Community Health Nursing Training, located about 11 kms away at Uttarahalli.  The Health Centre is known as Perpetual Health Primary Health Centre.  There is a part- time doctor, 2 staff nurses, a security guard and a helper.  Two Community Health Lecturers provide the required academic guidance to the students at the centre.   Vehicles for providing the student’s transport during the course of their training assignments are available.

HOSTEL FACILITIES
Hostel facilities are available for all the students.  Each student has a bed, a cupboard and furniture needed for study.  The Hostel has a Dining Room, Kitchen and Pantry, Sanitary and bathing facilities, a Common Room, a Visitor’s Room, an Enquiry and a Reception Counter.  The Hostel Warden has her office within the Hostel building.
